I’d like to take a moment to thank you for your continued support of Nery’s Promise! Your generosity has helped us make a difference for our families through our classes, services, and special events. Here’s what happened in late 2024:
We gave students a head start at school with backpacks filled with school supplies. It was a big task, with 750 backpacks handed out in September.
Gratitude was on our mind in November as we were thankful for all those who helped us pull together 350 turkey dinners. It was a humbling moment to know that hundreds of families who might not otherwise be able to enjoy Thanksgiving would have a traditional dinner.
Christmas was a season to celebrate as we filled Christmas baskets for 800 children. Thanks to everyone who donated items for the baskets. We also owe a huge thanks to Classic Chevrolet of Sugar Land who chose Nery’s Promise as the recipient for their annual toy drive. The drive culminated in a fun event where children could collect presents, enjoy hot cocoa, have their faces painted, get a balloon animal and visit with Santa.
We’re excited about what 2025 will bring. Thank you for being on this journey with us!
